Hey Minna! What's up? How ya all doin'? Good I hope.

Me?

I"m doing jus-

**BOOM!!!**

*Sabichan dodges flying debris and body parts*

Wow...didn't think they'd take it that bad...

Anywho *wipes away dust and fleshy bits*, Sorry about the last chapter, I got this evil impulse inside of me that said "just do it, they'll like it, I swear!"

So I did, and now several of you have exploded, I only hope my remaining, intact readers will enjoy the next chapter.

Once again, I'm stalling. This is dedicated to all the Miro/Sango lovers I've accidently left empty-handed in the past.

Then....on to more angst, and believe you me sonny Jim-Bob, this is angst with a capital "A".

You know I could have just capitalized the a, cuz somehow that phrase loses it's emphasis when you write it instead of just say-

**BOOM!!!**

*Sabichan ends up with readers detached tushy on her head*

Okay....now you're just doing that on purpose...

Ja ne!

~Sabichan~

"I can't believe she just took off like that! She better have a damn good explanation for this!"

Sango was fuming. Miroku's attempts to "comfort" her were not making matters any better. Now sporting a red handprint on each cheek, he sat down to nurse his wounds.

"Sango my love, Miss Kagome is very sensitive right now. Whatever she and Shiori happened to talk about obviously had a huge affect on her. Please, come sit down." He patted his lap, gracing her with a lecherous smile. She growled through her teeth and was on the verge of attack when a soft voice stopped her in mid-stride.

"Sango, he's right. Please calm down." Shiori stood smiling in the doorway of the break room.

"What happened? Why did she just leave like that?"

"Because I told her what she needed to hear. She's going to see my son now."

It seemed like the entire restaurant breathed a sigh of relief.

"Well it's about fucking time." She muttered under her breath. But she did nothing to hide her smile.

Kagome had finally listened to rational advice and was going to talk to Inuyasha. And if luck was on their side, they would be together by sunset. Yes, things were finally looking up.

"Houshi. Could you take me to get my car?" She asked in her sweetest voice, knowing he wouldn't resist. His eyes glazed over and he smiled dumbly. Then he jumped up and ran to get his keys. A moment later he reappeared and grabbed her hand to lead her outside.

"Why Sango, my dear, all you had to do was ask if you wanted some time alone with me."

"Can it Houshi." He gave her a hurt look as he opened the door for her.

They rode in silence for a moment. Finally he gave out a long sigh, and as they came to a stoplight, he turned to her.

"Sango? Why won't you call me by my first name?"

Surprised, she gave him a curious look.

"I..I don't know. I just do that to people, I guess."

"But you call Inu by his name. And Shippo. In fact, you call everyone else their names...except for me."

She looked out the window as the light turned green.

"I guess...I think it'll just encourage you."

"Is that so wrong?" She turned back to him.

"Yes! You're a pervert, and you're constantly grabbing me and flirting with me and other girls. What's wrong with you? Why do you treat me like I'm a piece of ass?!"

"That... was never my intention, Sango. You mean a lot more to me than that." She inhaled sharply and glared at him.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"You know how I feel about you. Through the past three years I've known you, Sango, I've never hid that from you." He looked at her with sincerity and...hurt.

"Houshi...what's wrong?" He sighed desperately as they came to another red light.

"Is it because I flirt too much? Because I can stop. I'll do anything you ask, I won't touch you without permission. Please tell me...what can I do to make you feel the same?"

Silent moments passed as Sango just stared in shock at the man beside her. He had never been this open with her before. Something had changed...

"Where is all this coming from?" He didn't look at her as he turned the corner.

"I'm jealous."

"Of what? Of who?"

"Inuyasha."

"You're jealous of him?! He's been depressed for a month and you're jealous?!"

"I'm jealous because at least Miss Kagome gave him a chance."

More shocked silence.

"Houshi-"

"I won't answer to anything but my name anymore Sango." She sighed.

"Miroku."

"Yes, my love?"

"I'm...You know me...I'm no better at these things than Inu is. I'm just...not very girlish."

"I know. One of the things I love best about you."

"Please be serious for a minute!"

"I am." He said honestly, once again fazing her attempts to be confident.

"L-look, I...don't completely hate the things you do. I...kind of like it sometimes."

"San-"

"Let me finish before you take that hand of the steering wheel." She said flatly. He nodded, eyes lit in hopefulness. "What I mean is...when you touch me...it makes me feel like a woman. It tells me that at least someone notices that I'm female under all this tom-boyishness. You...You're the only one that sees that. And it...scares me."

"Why?"

"Because...you're the first."

The brakes squealed violently as he skidded to a stop. Luckily, they had already made it to the residential neighborhood Kagome lived in.

"What!?"

A fierce red blush came over her face. It was a sight not often seen.

"I said you're the first. I'm. .I'm just like Inuyasha. No one else has wanted me either. That's why your mother hired me, Miroku. To fall in love with Inu. We all know how that turned out."

"But...But you're so beautiful..." he said softly in disbelief as he gazed at her intently. She turned an even deeper shade of red.

"Do you mean that?"

"I've always thought so, ever since the first day you slapped me."

She giggled as she thought back to when they first met. The first thing he had done, after he had finished staring at her chest, was to drop to one knee and ask her to bear him a child.

"I still can't believe you asked me that." She said shaking her head. He simply shrugged.

"It worked for my father....eventually."

"Hou- Miroku? How do you feel about me?"

"I love you Sango." He said without a second of hesitation, grabbing her hand

The sheer bluntness of his answer sent her into a stupor. She just sat there with her mouth agape staring into his deep blue eyes. So vibrant, honest, so intense.

"Sango....how can I prove it to you? I don't have anything like the Shikon jewel to show you, but I will do anything you ask."

The slight edge of fear in his voice did not go unnoticed. Sango rejoiced in the strength it gave her, realizing just how much control she had over him. She leaned forward and spoke in a voice just above a whisper.

"Give me my first kiss."

She barely had time to react before his lips were on hers, hungry, passionate, but gentle and loving.

He poured everything into that kiss, all his unrequited desires finally sated. He placed his hands on her cheeks and she leaned in closer, wrapping her arms around his neck. They deepened their kiss, sitting in an idling Classic Cadillac in the middle of the street, completely oblivious to the cars honking and swerving around them. Minutes later, they broke apart, gasping lightly for air, both in shock from the sheer intensity of their fist kiss.

As they were about to move in for another, a loud voice from the car that had just pulled around them broke the moment.

"GET A ROOM!" and he sped off.

Miroku turned his eyes back to Sango, a giddy, boyish expression gracing his features. She glared at him and pulled away.

"In your dreams, Houshi."

He pouted, but the smile did not disappear from his eyes. Just as he was about to begin driving again, she grabbed his hand.

"Sango?" Deep brown eyes bore into his own, startling him like his confession had startled her.

"I love you too, Miroku." She said softly, and kissed him again.

They eventually managed to break apart long enough to realize why they were in the car in the first place.

"Dad's gonna kill me if the we run out of gas." He muttered as he put the car in drive.

"I hope Kagome will still be there. I don't want to have to ask her Aunt to let me in the house."

"Aunt?" He asked, conversationally, still reeling and dreamy-eyed from his better than perfect day so far.

"Yeah, she's staying with `Gome. Her ex husband took off with all her money and her car. Now she's `getting back on her feet' as Hitomi put it. If you ask me, she had it coming. She's a grade A bitch."

"Has she said anything to you? I won't hesitate to put her in her place is she's slighted my love."

"No, my knight in shining armor, she wouldn't have a chance against me. She is rather condescending towards 'Gome though. Saying how she was a better miko and all that. Stupid Kikyo."

For the second time, the car came to a screeching halt.

"Jeez, Miroku, if you wanted a kiss-" She stopped when she saw the look of fear in his eyes.

"What did you say her name was?" He asked desperately.

"K-Kikyo. Why?"

"Is she...older?"

"Yeah almost forty, why?"

"Oh SHIT." He took off towards Higurashi Shrine as fast as the car could go. A thousand different thoughts were rushing through his head, and he only hoped every single one of them was wrong.

Tbc…

Sorry if it was a bit rushed, but I didn't want to distract too much from the main story line. Never really wrote for that pairing before, but I kinda liked it, they're very complex...

Anyway, hope you liked and now back to Inu and Kag.
