Part Three
~~~~~~
After the guards left me, I lay there in the
dark and tried to block out the painful throbbing in my loins. Soon afterwards
I fell into a deep, exhausted sleep, and dreamed. But this time I wasn't
plagued by nightmares instead my dreams were dreams of remembrance.
**********************************************************************
//"Hilde! If you don't clean your room
this instance no dessert for a week!"
My father's lips were pursed with mirth as my
mother yet again berated me for my messy room, "Now Gretchen, sweetheart,
isn't that a harsh punishment for one so young?"
"Oh no Hanz, Hilde is old enough it's
high time she cleaned her own room like a responsible young woman."
Putting on my best pout I looked at my father
with huge, watery eyes, "Papa…"
"Don't look at me little one if I argue
with your mother than I won't get any dessert for a week either." Father
patted my head and winked.
"Honestly Hanz sometimes I think you're
Hilde's age with the way you act." With that Mama and Papa began their
usual friendly bickering. With my teddy bear in tow I walked down the long hall
to the messy room that belonged to me.
The amount of toys that needed to be picked
up amazed me, surely one as little as I couldn't handle this big chore all
alone, " 'S not fair teddy," Pouting I put teddy on the bed and began
the task of picking up my toys. In the short month we had been here this place
had already began to feel like home. Papa worked for the L2 colony government
and often had to travel from colony to colony acting as some sort of ambassador
and we always went with him. Papa had actually been ordered to stay on L2 for
once, he said it was because a group of people from Earth was causing a lot of
worry; they called themselves the Alliance.
Papa had said that the Alliance people were
really mean to the colonies and wanted to hurt the people, I couldn't
understand why though, after all they were people too, weren't they?
Mama's voice came from the opened door,
"Ah Hilde! It's good to see you listened to me little one, don't you like
having a neat, tidy room?"
Sticking out my lower lip I shook my head no,
why have a room where everything is put away? You can never find what you want
but when you have a messy room whatever you need is just lying there on the
floor where it can be seen. I'd never understand why Mama liked to put stuff
away where it couldn't be found and then call it neat.
Smiling Mama softened her gaze on me,
"One day you will appreciate a neat room, now come it's dinner time."
"Mama, do teddy and me get
dessert?"
"Well honey you can have dessert after
dinner but I don't know about teddy, will he eat all of his dinner including
his vegetables?" Nodding my head quickly I picked up teddy and followed
mom to the dining room. Both of us were surprised to feel the ground under us
shake and rumble, "Mama what was that?"
"I don't know Hilde…Hanz!" Mama's
voice sounded a little scared, maybe the ground was hungry and its tummy was
rumbling.
As we walked into the dining room we saw Papa
standing by a window with a gun in his hand. Mama's eyes widened as she saw the
shiny black weapon, "Hanz what are you doing with that thing and why was
the ground shaking?"
Papa met us with a grim face, "It's the
Alliance Gretchen they're attacking the colony. The radio says that they're
coming after the government officials first."
"But papa aren't you a 'ficial?" My
words had both of them looking at me.
"Yes little one I am."
Mommy grabbed me close and started sobbing,
"Hanz what will we do? What if they come here?"
Papa cocked the gun and kissed mama and me,
"I'll take care of you two I promise."
The sounded of banging on the front door
brought everyone's head up, Mama looked at Papa with wide eyes,
"Hanz…"
"Hush Gretchen we must-" The door
went flying off the hinges as men dressed in military suits swarmed inside the
house. I saw Papa get knocked to the ground and one of the men grabbed Mama.
"No!! Mama, Papa! Make them stop!"
My childish voice was ignored as my parents were tied up and another man
grabbed me.
"Leave her alone! She's just a
child!" Mama's voice was hoarse as she screamed at the soldiers. A soldier
lifted his gun and pointed it at her head, without mercy he pulled the trigger.
"Noooo!! Mama!!" I wasn't sure what
the man did to Mama but the spray of red and Papa's sudden screaming scared me.
The soldier turned his gun and pointed it at Papa and pulled the trigger on him
too.
"Sir, what do we do about the
child?" One of the men looked at me worriedly. "Nothing idiot, just
leave her here she's colony trash anyway."
"Yes sir." I was put down and
sobbing, I watched the men leave as quickly as they had come.
"Papa, Mama?"
**Flash**
"Cadet Schbeiker!" The Lieutenant's
voice brought my head up from the table where I was cleaning my .44 magnum.
Quickly I stood and saluted, "Sir!"
"At ease Cadet, come with me."
"Yes Sir." Putting my gun back
together with practiced motions, I put it in the holster and followed the
Lieutenant. We walked across the compound and towards a huge building that
resembled a warehouse, I had no idea what was there, that place was forbidden
to everyone except those with high authority in the compound, "Sir
permission to ask a question sir?"
"Granted Cadet."
"Sir may I inquire as to why I am going
to the forbidden sector sir?" I hated to ask questions, it tended to make
everyone respect you less but for once my curiosity got the better of me.
"All in good time soldier all in good
time." The Lieutenant smiled at me and led me through the doors. Inside it
looked like a huge training ground, perhaps something being built for the
cadets to train in?
A man dressed in a white coat approached us
and smiled at me in a fatherly sort of way, "Ah yes Lieutenant, so this is
the one?"
"Yes sir, she's the best cadet we have,
her scores for intelligence, hand to hand, and piloting are astronomical, we've
never had better."
Inwardly I smiled, I knew I was the best
here, I worked my ass off to be that way. The better I became and the better I
was the more of a chance I had of being promoted into a position of power. A
position where I could plan an attack at Alliance bases and get revenge for my
parents, I had promised them that night that I would and I always keep my
promises.
"All right Lieutenant thank you for your
help, you may leave now." As soon as the Lieutenant had walked out of the
room he turned to me.
"So cadet, what is your name?"
"Hilde Schbeiker sir."
"Ahh, so you're a German, good that's a
good strong blood line there and believe me Miss Schbeiker you're going to need
good strong blood to survive this."
Survive? Survive what?
"I beg your pardon Sir but what do you
mean?" This was starting to sound pretty damned fishy to me and I was
ready leave.
"Well Miss Schbeiker you've been chosen
because of you immense capabilities as a soldier. You will be taking part in a
top-secret project in which we will make you into an ultimate soldier. It will
be hard but once done no one will be able to beat you. Are you up to the
challenge Cadet?"
Grinning I gave him a quick salute, "Yes
sir I believe I am ready." I liked challenges and could never turn them
down besides, the more deadly I became that more vengeance I could bring upon
the Alliance.
**Flash**
The doctor walked up to me with a grim look
on his face, "Hilde there's a problem with the program."
"What type of problem sir? I thought my
training was almost complete." In the past two years of day-to-day
training I had been transformed into a weapon, my entire body was muscle and I
no longer had an ounce of baby fat, or any fat for that matter. I was a master
at espionage, assassination, tactics, hand-to-hand combat, and a hell of a lot
other things.
My gaze strayed from the doctor as another
man walked in, I had never seen him before. His cold eyes fixed on me as he
spoke, "So this is the subject?" The doctor was quick to reply,
"Oh yes and her training is almost complete, she's exceeding even our
highest hopes for the project, much better then we ever expected."
"What a pity." With that he walked
back out.
What the hell? A pity? A pity that I was
stronger and better than they had expected me to be? Shit, I would think that
to be a damned good thing.
"Hilde, it's late you may have a three
hour rest period before we meet to discuss your future missions." The
doctor sounded suddenly resigned and tired, what the hell was going on?
Nodding I went to my quarters and got a glass
of water from the sink. Walking around my room I surveyed the place that had
been my home for the past two years. I hated to admit it but when my training
was complete I would actually sort of miss the place.
My head suddenly felt very light and a
feeling of dizziness overcame me, I had to lean against the wall to stay
upright. Was I sick? There was a buzzing in my ears and the wall couldn't hold
me up anymore, as I sank to the floor blackness overcame me.
Slowly surfacing from unconsciousness I saw a
bright white light and felt cold metal beneath me, I also heard the doctor's
voice.
"I can't promise anything! This
procedure is still too new! There is a very high chance that any traumatic
event could bring the memories back to her at any moment!"
Another voice, a could one at that, cut
across the doctor's, "It doesn't matter, just do it. Erase the training now."
I heard the doctor sigh as I passed out yet again.
**Flash**
Gritting my teeth I pursued the Leo and fired
warning shots, "Stop right there!"
No answer from the pilot and he continued to
fly in the direction of the lunar base, "If you choose to retaliate I'll
have to kill you!"
"Warning shots are meaningless from
those who've never even battled!" I couldn't let this guy get away; the
peace of the colony could be at stake. Grimly I prepped my guns and took aim at
the stolen Leo and its renegade pilot, "This one's for peace of the
colony!" I would not let him threaten the peace!
The pilot of the suit made a surprised sound
at my declaration, "Hang on a second here! I'm fighting for the peace of
the colony as well!"
Uh huh, was I supposed to believe that load
of bullshit? This man with the long braid had just hijacked a Leo from the port
and then he was telling me that we were fighting for the same goal? Hn…hell
must have frozen over when I wasn't looking. Prepping my guns I opened fire on
the Leo once again. My shots hit their mark and I smiled in pride, "Hm…got
him!"
Once again the pilot tried to talk me,
"Hey! We're both fighting for the colony right? Then how is it that we've
become enemies?"
Does this guy think I'm an idiot or
something? Gripping the controls of my Leo I punched at his suit,
"Pleading for your life?!"
To my surprise his Leo caught both of my
Leo's fists and held them there, "I'm telling ya, you and I aren't
enemies!"
Who the hell was this guy? Did he ever give
up on spouting that bullshit? "I volunteered and I pledged my loyalty! I'm
prepared to die at any time!"
"You're so intense it makes me
sick!"
Fire from the approaching ship interrupted us
as the beams came close to not only destroying him but me. That was when the
guy managed to surprise the hell out of me.
"Get outta here! Aaaahhh!" His Leo
pushed me out of the line of fire and took the hits.
"Huh?!" In shock I watched the
pilot who had just saved my life get pummeled with shots from the ship
rendering his Leo as practically useless.
After bringing the braided pilot onto the
ship and cuffing him I sat down and tried to consider what had just happened.
Who was this guy and why did he save me?
This was the first time in my memory that
someone had actually attempted to help me. I had come to this base only months
before fresh from boot camp and ready to defend the colony at all costs. I
remember how at boot camp the instructors had insisted upon no one giving or receiving
help of any kinds, us soldiers had to be self-sufficient in all situations.
Boot camp had been a turning point for me; I had loved the challenge of it and
had strived to be the best recruit there. Amazingly I had trouble remember how
I had gotten to boot camp, the instructors had told me that I had volunteered
and on the way to the camp had been injured, I had never questioned their
explanation. I vaguely remembered my parents but they were dead and it hurt to
think of them so I often blocked memories of them. I don't know why this pilot
made me think about boot camp and my parents, but there was something about
him, he confused me.
**Flash**
Bending over the huge scrap pile I went over
the junk in it and made notes on my clipboard. It figured Duo would be on a
mission when it was time to do inventory. Sighing I straightened and heard my
back pop, it had been a long day. A pair of strong arms suddenly wrapped around
my waist and I gave a surprised yelp.
"Hey babe, miss me?"
I would know that joking voice anywhere; I
turned with a huge smile on my face, "Duo! You're home!" Sliding my
arms around his neck I pulled him down for a kiss, he was all to eager to
comply with that.
We stood in the artificial colony light in
each other's arms, kissing, just glad to be back with one another. I had missed
him a lot. Breaking off the kiss I looked at him, "So was your mission a
success Duo?"
He gave me his trademark grin, "Of
course babe but I really would rather not talk about the mission." He slid
his hands down to my hips and pulled our bodies closer, from the bulge in his
pants I could tell that he had missed me too.
"Oh really? Then what would you like to
talk about Mr. Maxwell?" I slid my hand down to the bulge and rubbed my
fingers against him through the black pants he wore, "This feels really
painful for you Duo."
Moaning he yanked my hand up and nibbled at
the fingers, "You little pixie! Always trying to make me lose it aren't
you?" With the he picked me up and slung me over his shoulder like I was a
sack or something.
"Duo! What are you-" A slap on my
butt quickly silenced any protests I had as Duo carried me into the house and
to our bedroom. He dumped me on the bed and straddled my hips.
Pulling me into a sitting position he looked
deep into my eyes, "God I missed you," Our mouths met again and our
tongues tangled sensually. As we rolled around the bed nipping at one another's
lips I was overcome with my feeling of love for this man, I would never regret
betraying OZ to help him.
I groaned in pleasure as he dragged the shirt
over my head and nuzzled my breasts through the thin bra I was wearing,
"Duo..." With quick motions he stripped off my shorts and his black
pants.
His eyes met mine again, "I'm sorry babe
I can't be slow this time."
I cupped his face and smiled, "That's ok
Duo."
"I
love you babe." He ground his mouth against mine as his fingers yanked off
my underwear and buried themselves into me, arching against him I moaned at the
sensations his calloused fingers were producing within me.
Digging my
fingers into his butt I let him know that I was more than ready. With a grunt Duo pulled his fingers out of me and
thrust himself into me. Thrusting hard and deep Duo put his fingers into my
hair and buried his head into my neck.
I felt the wave of ecstasy coming and my
entire body stiffened as the feelings of complete pleasure washed through me
over and over, "Duo!" I bit into his shoulder as I was swept away.
He grunted and thrust into me once more
before I felt the warmth of his juices flow into my body. Collapsing against
me, he quickly fell asleep.
Smiling I played with his hair and looked
into his sleeping face, he must have been exhausted from his mission. Even
though he had to leave often for such missions I didn't mind, I loved him so much;
I didn't want my life to change in anyway, it was perfect.//
**********************************************************************
The darkness lifted and once again I woke up,
instead of being sad from my memories I was confused. Who had that doctor in my
dream been? I had never undergone any special training; I was a regular boot
camp recruit and graduate, wasn't I? Yet for some reason that one part of my
dream had seemed as real as the memories had been…
I sat there until the sun began to rise
casting a yellow glow into the hallway in front of my cell; I was stiff and
silent. God help me, I remembered. I had gone through special training because
of my skills and from some reason I had forgotten all of it, even what I had
been taught, I didn't understand it all. Why was I only remembering it now?
What did this mean? The longer I sat the more I recalled about the special
training.
By the time the sun was high up in the sky, I
could tell from the amount of light in the hall, I remembered everything from
that two year period, where I had undergone training so intense any regular
cadet would have died, I hadn't of course because I had been the best. I looked
down at my battered body and smiled, not only did I remember that but also I
now remembered exactly what I had been taught. OZ had trained me to the point
to where I had practically been a weapon.
Now I was ready to cause hell, it was time
for revenge.
